General Description

Education is always evolving and presenting new challenges that require continuous learning to stay relevant.

To help students in this aspect, Monteverde created a Middle School that also teaches students how to be personal contributors to their education and become agents of their own success.

Monteverde’s Middle School program offers a creative environment filled with opportunities for young teenagers to develop their potential.

Our educational model focuses on nurturing intelligence. It encourages students to be innovative and resourceful.

TUTORING

Our tutoring program reinforces natural intelligence with knowledge.

Tutoring is an essential part of the Teaching Model that develops different types of intelligence such as emotional or social.

It allows a student to set their own values by facing difficulties and overcoming them with correct solutions.

Tutors are an integral part of the teaching program. Their main role is to correct, support and guide students in developing their different aptitudes.

PROJECTS

The tutoring program allows us to provide students with personalized education.

Monteverde’s tutoring program offers a time and space for helping students individually, in which they can talk about their feelings to a tutor and know that someone is listening. Chatting with the tutor also helps a student to verbalize their emotions and understand themselves better.

Students select their own tutor based on how comfortable they feel with that adult. This natural connection helps to create a deeper understanding and empathy between them.

PSYCHOLOGY

ENGLISH

The Monteverde English program teaches verbal and written skills that let students express their feelings, needs and views correctly in English.

Throughout their Middle School years, students are given opportunities to practice English in a variety of topics. First year deals mostly with History and Art , while second-year students are introduced to critical reading. Third-year Middle School students are taught to debate in English a wide range of subjects from classic literature to lifestyle choices.

We stress the five basic language skills: reading, writing, comprehension, grammar and oral expression. Teaching aids include the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. Students obtain their proficiency certification from Cambridge University.
